The roads
Four gravel stages through the ancient gorges and creek beds of the Flinders Ranges. Quality gravel roads, world-class scenery, no traffic. Best in spring and autumn - avoid summer.
The event
No rally event. The Flinders Ranges gravel roads have been driven by overlanders, motorcyclists and touring drivers for decades. Brachina Gorge is one of Australia's most recognised geology drives - the rock layers exposed in its walls span 650 million years. The loop through Bunyeroo and Aroona connects three distinct landscapes: creek bed, gorge and open range country. Stock AWD vehicles handle these tracks in dry conditions.
